After picking you up at your hotel (Poblado or Laureles area) we will ride you to the west side of the city, crossing Laureles neighborhood, one of the most exclusive sectors from Medellín, for you to notice the differences between the social classes that we have in the city.

Before getting inside the graffities area, we will ride the cable car, that will take you up and down the mountains between two districts (Comunas) and over all the houses from the sector, some of theme still made of wood, you will be witness of how people live in this part of the city and what they have to do to get to their homes, in the last station of the cable car you will enjoy a beautiful look from the city.

Then we'll come back to head to the Comuna 13 a place where before existed invisible borders, a sector of the city stigmatized for its violent past, cataloged between 80's and 90's as one of the most dangerous places in the world, due to the presence of iligal armed groups that fought to have the control of the territory, but with a colorful present full of hope and illusion to write a new history through its people ant art.

Our firts stop at Comuna 13 is going to be where our friends from Doña Alba popsicles, people from the sector are taking advantage since the neirgborhood is a turistic place to sell things outside their houses and Doña Alba invented a delicious green mango popsicle with salt and lemon, so let's try one before continue walking the sector.

Walking the neighborhood you will understand better the meaning of the graffities and how they are related with the victims of the comuna and how they have change what the world used to think about them to turn into the most visited turistic place in the city.

While we walk through the graffities also we will ride the outdoor escalator, the first in the world designed for mobility solutions, they replace 350 concrete stair that people from the sector had to go up and down to get to their jobs, where build in 2011 and have been a key for the development of the comuna 13.

At the top of the escalators you can enjoy more urban art, with break dancers and also get some Colombian artisanal work made by the people from the neigborhood, it is also a way to support them to continue improving their lives.

You can also take a nice memory with this breathtaking view from the top of the Comuna.

Before going back to the hotel, you can also try more food from the area, like empanadas, churros, chorizos and drink a lemonade of coffee, or if you want take with you a piece of Comuna 13 on an small canvas.
